What value do George and u/parking_war add here?

Sorry for being snippy. I do appreciate the post, it’s just funny to me how lately, a lot of memes are three levels of quotes deep.

Conspiracy theory people pride themselves on “knowing” something that others don’t. It gives them a sense of superiority to everyone else because of that “knowledge”

Problem is that people seem to be more intent on being right all the time instead of the hermit lifestyle part. Which means we get way more exposure to people who think they’re right all the time.

I mean, setting aside conspiracy or whatever clamor we could make about tap water… if someone is already addicted to nicotine, are they just not allowed to get angry at systemic forces anymore? Is that the point of this post?

Like, if the city government lets some company dump toxic waste into our drinking water supply, are the smokers just supposed to be cool with that? No, of course not, that would be absurd. You’d want smokers and non-smokers all marching on city hall, wouldn’t you?

You people just want to hate on addicts. Just spare me the fucking soapbox in my inbox please, I really don’t want to hear it.

This is right up here with making fun of horrendous people for the way they look and these people do that all the time. It’s so important to insist that our enemies are fat or have weirld shirtless pictures when that’s not even anything to do with why we are fighting them. Childish behavior.

They aren’t angry at systemic issues, theyre mad because fox news and info wars told them to be mad.

mad at… perceived systemic issues. the fact that it’s fake news is irrelevant, since the criticisms levied here are applicable to any instance of government pollution. yall are basically saying “you can’t be mad at that if you poison yourself in other ways!” which is obviously an absurd thing to say to someone who’s angry at your cause. the only alternative explanation is that the people here assume she just doesn’t believe that smoking is bad for her?? like that’s it’s funny to believe a bizarre thing is true and a well known fact is false? but you can’t all possibly be that naive to think she doesn’t know smoking is bad for her.

this is important. these are the kinds of biases that we NEED to keep in check.

It’s kinda like having the lady full of lip filler and botox injections telling us that we shouldn’t inject vaccines because we don’t know what toxins are in them.

    Let me see

We don’t know if they put that on the car.

Or if they agree with it

    And even if they did

They have absolutely every right to put a sticker there

So I actually fail to see a problem

Do you want real life to be every form of expression to be censored and controlled by a central authority?

An Epidemic of Fear: How Panicked Parents Skipping Shots Endangers Us All (2009):

Curt Linderman Sr., the host of “Linderman Live!” on AutismOne Radio and the editor of a blog called the Autism File, recently wrote online that it would “be nice” if [rotavirus vaccine co-inventor] Offit “was dead.”

I’d met Linderman at Autism One. He’d given his card to me as we stood outside the Westin O’Hare talking about his autistic son. “We live in a very toxic world,” he’d told me, puffing on a cigarette.

It was hard to argue with that.

We used to shun people like this. No one would dare spew crap like this, let alone advertise it. Now they have their own little groups to tell them they’re sane, they’re right. People need to step it up and show them their shit is socially unacceptable.

Break that fucking sticker out with a fucking tire iron.

“Oh my goodness! That’s going too far!”

No, it is not. People like this are poison to society, they are hurting us. Their bullshit has to be shoved back in the shadows. Make them afraid.

I had a friend who wouldn’t drink tap water because she claimed it contained parasites, but was addicted to Adderall and nicotine and insisted that American Spirits were “healthy” because they are “all natural”.

It’s just funny that a person is protesting a potentially harmful substance while consuming one of the most harmful readily available substances.

Uhh sure, but both substances are sold by corporations. Both are poisons. One has no health benefits beyond an extreme minority and the other has great health benefits applied topically.

I won’t get into all the details about ingesting fluoride and where municipal fluoride comes from unless you want me to. It is a very unpopular here even if it is the truth.

Sure, fluoride has been proven time and time again to be effective topically. There is no evidence ingesting fluoride, which is a poison, is good for the body. There is no mechanism in the human body to return fluoride to the teeth topically where it is proven effective once ingested.

Give me a moment, the rest of this post will be updated with a copy/paste from my previous post on the matter because it takes a lot of effort to summarize this topic.

            Edit:

            https://www.cochrane.org/news/water-fluoridation-less-effective-now-past

The latest studies indicate fluoride in the drinking supply has little effect compared compared to fluoride toothpaste. So you once it is available the need for adding fluoride to water goes away. This has been supported by numerous studies comparing countries that do not add fluoride to their water.

I studied this in a 400 level water course at UNI. I got to visit wastewater and water plants and speak with operators. I was surprised to learn the fluoride was not naturally occuring in the water supply as it is advertised on the EPA website.

Then I found an article about a small town in Canada that ran out of fluoride because of a downturn in fertilizer manufacturing. I thought to myself what does fertilizer manufacturing have to do with fluoride.

That is when I discovered the truth that it is a toxic by-product of fertilizer manufacturing that is sold to municipalities to be disposed of in our water supply. It is not pharmaceutical fluoride because that would cost too much. Oh and it is contaminated with nasty stuff like heavy metals.

I then did a bunch of research comparing rates of tooth decay in different areas of the world. It really did not appear to make a difference but actual dental care and fluoride toothpaste did.

My presentation was about a hour and a half where I presented all my research. I got an A on it and everyone was very impressed with what I discovered.

            Second edit:

We are begginig to understand about healthy mouth biomes which is evident in people who don’t naturally get cavities. If you have never been introduced to the bacteria that causes cavities or if you mouth biome naturally fights off and destroys this bacteria you will never get cavities.

In the future when our technology advances it may be possible to fight cavities without Flourode which is a still a poison even if it is effective.
