I know you recently moved. Have you considered the pay is lower because the benefits are higher? In the UK they have universal healthcare which means that part of your salary which used to go to healthcare is now not needed. Perhaps that’s why they gave you a lower offer than you’re used to in american wages?

Unfortunately people will just think “Hey I’ve seen this bird flu in the news and it didn’t seem bad.” Then they ignore all virologist recommendations and we have a second pandemic.

That’s actually a really good counter point that I hadn’t thought of.

The constant edging with bird flu mania is going to make people not pay attention when it actually pops off.

I’ve been playing so much kingdom come deliverance 2 that I didn’t even notice PSN being down.
