God the entire point is that it shouldn’t matter. Executives forcing one thing or the other is what is making everyone hate both forces male and forced “woke” characters. Just let the freaking creatives do their job and stop having some committee decide for them. It makes the stories so freaking awkward.

If the story makes sense, I don’t care. Let the creators make the characters they want and stop pushing agendas at all. If they want to make the queerest game let them. If they want a male protag, who cares. Executives are not creatives. (Neither are the panels of people they put in charge of market research either)

As long as it works with proton I’m happy. There have been a few games that go out of their way to prevent proton compatibility.

Only thing that is iffy usually is Nvidia. A big caveat is that Bazzite doesn’t support Nvidia for now. Agree with the other commenter, put it on another partition and try it out

Not php but Laravel. Like I said it forces workers to be on the same host with the same storage as the API, it doesn’t allow scaling of multiple API nodes or worker nodes, and his docker containers require me running special commands left and right. No other docker containers of mine do that

I’ve been trying to set it up for 2 weeks now, the docker containers. There are so many backwards decisions, it’s pretty clear he doesn’t understand docker unfortunately. The entire app could be a snap to set up, but it’s such a convoluted setup that it scares a lot of people away. (It pretty much is scripted assuming you will run it on a VM, and a high cost one at that).

The fact that it’s built on PHP and Laravel in 2025 says a lot, and the fact that he started Loops this year on the same architecture also says a lot. It just doesn’t scale, it’s locked to a single host, and he’s finding that as the servers are tipping over.

I was in the fray for a 3000 during 2020 for cyberpunk. Glad to see they haven’t changed anything on the storefronts. Newegg, best buy, Nvidia, none of them cared to fix anything. They got their money, what do they care.

I’m not a day one persona anymore. Hell there aren’t any games out right now that I want those sick graphics for. More than happy to wait.

They really do hide the final price until the last second when you’re most committed. They’re banking on your hunger, seeing everything in your cart, and either being so excited you’ll just click the buttons to make food come, or you’ll justify it away.
