Shopify tells Bloomberg and NBC News that it wasn’t removed simply for listing the item, saying in a statement that “This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms so we removed them from Shopify.”

Just tried: the ‘report an issue’/‘suggest an edit’ button doesn’t appear when The Gulf of Mexico is selected.
It does for other locations, but not for the Gulf.
This was gonna be my suggestion too.
Add secure notes to your vault detailing your setup and what do do with it when you’re gone. Then create an account for whoever you want to pass things on to, designate it as a trusted emergency contact and teach them how to access it.

I might consider it next time around; but after taking almost 10hours yesterday just to get raspiOS + docker running I’m leaving it the hell alone for a while.
This was just supposed to be a quick refresh to get my primary pihole off bare metal and into docker like the backup server is. Figured I’d be there for an hour or two, not 10…
Because this method has worked just fine for years. It’s also how I restore my backups so it’s a familiar process.
Configuration was never the issue; I have no problem setting it up manually and switching it to being headless when I’m ready for that.
The display not working is a symptom; the entire device was shutting down, not just refusing to output video unfortunately.
Turned out to be a faulty sd card. New one is now working just fine.
Seems it was a bad card.
Tried a different one and all is well again.

the devices MAC has a fixed DHCP lease. The IP becomes and remains unreachable as soon as I enter ‘sudo reboot’.
this is a previously known to be good card (it had a working OS on it prior to todays messing around), but I’ll try another for good measure.

Just downloaded the .img.xz, extracted the .img with 7zip, flashed to a card with win32diskimager.
I’m in a rental too. It’s non-invasive; just gotta pop the panel cover off, clip the transformers over the wires without disconnecting them, and put the cover back. It can all be removed just as easily.
If you want to expand from just monitoring a couple sockets to monitoring the whole house; I’d recommend Iotawatt. I’ve been using one of these to monitor every circuit in my house for a few years now.
You can use the built in webpages shown below to view it’s internal graphs, or setup an exporter to feed the data into external DBs like influxDB+Graphana or Emoncms.
That’s true; once everything inside is brought down to temp, they use very little power to stay cold.
My regular fridge uses ~500-800wh a day (depending on how much it got opened). My chest freezer though, uses ~200wh/day pretty consistently.
