Depends who you play with. We played Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries this weekend. I think it took us 2 hours, maybe longer. At some point my sister revealed to the table she could finish that game in 6 minutes when playing online.
I used to love an Xbox Risk game, and games would take 10-15 minutes because it did all the rolling.
Which was still fun on account of all the pretty pictures of cats fighting robots, but the point is automation makes tasks faster, not a new concept, and not a slight against traditional games.
