Idk if you followed it the full story but they were never hostile towards linux. They did allow Linux until it became a breeding ground for hackers. I’m pretty sure there are threads on their forum where the devs explain more but yeah. Now we have sover though. Better than vinegar.

Also they kept Wine support for Studio because it’s not online multiplayer. It doesn’t get hacked.

It was not just the devs that think that but there were aholes openly discussing cheats on the vinegar server, it’s no secret. It’s just unfortunate devs don’t support linux anti cheat.
